Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice designed to deeply relax and release tension held in the subconscious and unconscious mind. This practice restores balance to mind, body and spirit. Through pranayama (breath work), gentle asana and guided visualization we can ease forward into fall with clarity, ease and joy.
As we transition into the fall the air and space element tend to increase – we call this vata energy. When our vata is in excess we have trouble focusing and being still and can feel anxious, restless and fearful. We will use this class to set a sankalpa or seed of intention to move forward into the fall season with ease and clarity.
Yoga Therapist & Teacher, Stephanie Gould, will guide the yoga asana and nidra practice. The practice will be accompanied by the healing sounds of Tibetan bowls played by Sound Healer and Reiki Master Karin Reetz. The sound vibrations quickly lower the brainwaves to a theta state where healing occurs effortlessly.
