Stephanie Petrillo Gould is a certified Kripalu yoga teacher and IAYT yoga therapist. She completed her 200-hour training in 2008 and subsequently has completed trainings in Yoga for Cancer ( 2011) and Restorative Yoga and Yoga Therapeutics ( 2016) with Jillian Pransky and Yoga Nidra (2017) with Mona Anand. Stephanie has gratefully practiced yoga for 30 years and it has helped her learn to manage the challenges of life on and off the mat. Stephanie was diagnosed with cancer in 2005, throughout her treatment and recovery, she found solace and emotional and physical strength in her yoga practice. She wishes to share this with others.
Before working as a yoga teacher, Stephanie trained in dance with a bachelors in dance education. She holds a masters degree in counseling and consulting psychology from Harvard University and retired 2014 from a career as a school psychologist. Her training as a psychotherapist informs her life and work.
Stephanie's classes blend yogic philosophy, breath work, physical postures and restorative yoga to enable students to adapt their practice to their bodies and lives.
